TWO GIGS:ONE WEEK

Updated: Mar 26, 2024

What a way to start out, eh?!

Supporting The Florentenes at The Ferret on the Thursday, followed up by a support slot to The Lanterns & Flash Floods on the Saturday!

The Ferret - Preston - 7/3/24

Our First live gig as a full band went down a storm. The Ferret is an amazing live music venue in Preston. They contacted us a couple of weeks before out of the blue looking for an artist for a support slot. We're so happy to have accepted the role. The inhouse sound and sound tech made us sound huge. We crammed our set with songs we've been writing and working on over the past 4 months, including a few familiar covers. It was the first time we got to play our latest release God's No Help live to a crowd, and they loved it!

We did run into a few teething problems and learnt to ensure Lee has turned his amp on pre-show as waiting for the thing to warm up takes a good chunk of time!

It was also Jen & Luke's first time on stage in a venue playing in front of an audience.

Such a great venue to start our gigging life off on the right foot.

The Florentenes are well worth a listen too! A young group of lads from Bolton, UK, oozing with talent and showmanship.

The Loom - Burnley - 9/3/24

At the Loom, we opened up the night with a good variety of our original songs and covers to keep the energy going.

Absolute highlight of the night for us was everyone holding up their phone torches and swaying during Gratitude, which you can listen to anytime on Spotify.

Local photographer, blogger & all things gig related Shot By Court came down too.

You can see her photos on our gallery page and read her review of us here.

Lanterns are a great rhythmical and melodic laid back listening artist.
